Medical Nanorobotics - the use of nanoscale robots in medicine

As background for medical nanorobotics - here's an overview video... it features the future use of medical nannites (robots).

Here's another very interesting video.

The human lifespan is beginning to bump up against old age, as medicine has removed the bulk of the causes that used to cut it short.  Aging is a process which is understandable - and we will soon have the means to combat it.  My personal thought is that if you can hang around for the next few decades, you can probably expect to be here on earth for quite a while longer.

We will build robots that go into individual cells and fix genetic errors and repair other kinds of damage caused by free radicals.  The future is coming on us quickly.  It may be that late in the 21st century - we will understand our biology so well, and use nanotechnology so well - that we may achieve permanent life.  What a concept to think about!!

Welcome to www.MedicalNanorobotics.com .  At this special website, we will focus on the use of nanorobots in the health field.  Some have said that the 21st century will be the biotechnology century - but actually - I think - the first quarter of the century will be the biotechnology century and the next 50 years or so will be the nanotechnology era.  Here - we will be using nanotechnology to actually enter our cells and repair cellular damage.

Medical Nanorobotics will have its proponents and opponents.  There will be those who object to the application of machines when they start to enter our bodies.  Although - think of pacemakers and cochlear implants and all sorts of prosthetic robotics which will allow so many people to live healthier, more productive lives.

I think Medical Nanotechnology and Medical Nanorobotics is good.  What do you think?
